I am very excited to be the Social Media Intern for the Colon Cancer Foundation! My focus is on increasing engagement on all of our social media platforms so that we can further spread our mission and awareness of Colorectal Cancer.
I will be completing my Bachelor of Arts Journalism and Mass Communications degree at the University of South Carolina in the coming year. Along with my major in Mass Communications, I have minored in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management after working in the industry in Charleston, SC during my freshman year at the College of Charleston.
I hold the positions of Social Media Director and Treasurer for Her Campus at South Carolina, which is an online women's magazine. I have also had the pleasure of being a Content Writer and member of the Events, Marketing and PR team with Her Campus in the past.
I'm very passionate about non-profit work, so in my free time I volunteer at a local non-profit animal shelter through a club at UofSC. I am also a member of CHAARG, a women's fitness and health organization.
I am so honored to be the Colon Cancer Foundation's Social Media Intern and I am so thankful for this opportunity to learn and grow as a professional.
